Hi I am a beginner trying to find a lens kit for my iPhone 6 and have seen a mpj kit on Amazon. They said the lens will give the images a round, fish bowl effect while also acting as a wide angle lens. Is this possible for telephone camera lens?

Yup. Dunno about how good the quality will be as diopters can generally be a bit sketchy but it should work after a fashon.

I've seen photographs of one, but have never tried one. They fit on the outside, going over the camera lens. You should be able to find one by a search.
