Nice, I like that you caught it singing or other wise "making a noise". What kind of bird is it?

Thanks, honestly I'm not sure what kind it is... don't know much about birds, but whatever it is, they are abundant in NC. I see them here year round.

I have two more shots of this same bird, but I personally thought the first was the best.

The second picture is pretty good too. I know mostly about birds in my area, so I am not familair with those in NC - the closest I can come = best guess, is a Northern Mockingbird, but I would need someone who knows birds in your area much better than I do to support that identification.
