I like 2 cause i think its the shot with the most charecter. I think #3 is very criminal looking (rape) even the bird is going oh ****... lol made me giggle.

The only thing i dont like in 1 is the birds expression/position and the fact that you have no pattern to your blurr/sharpness/focus.

What do you mean by no pattern to the blurr? He actually has quite an expression on his face. He is looking at a fox about 5 feet from him. He's terrified in that picture.

Nice shots, hope you don't mind made a few adjustments:

I sharpened the in focus area, added a little vibrance, re-leveled and cropped. I was out birding yesterday with little luck.

Nice set of Photo's. The best advice I can give you is watch what is in your backgrounds as not to distract from your subject.

They look a little soft to me. Maybe motion blur as much as focus being off. Like EricD said, your background is very important.
