OK, slightly corrected version, at a cost of losing something round the egdes, particularly on the left-hand side. The new horizon is taken from the waters' edge on the far side which would have been at pretty much the same level as the camera.

I like the first image more, despite the slant. Since it's not a horizon on a landscape image, I don't find that the slant detracts at all from the image's impact.
