Birds by the Pond

Yesterday, I visited a local nature area (Lake Katherine, Palos Heights, Illinois) in hope of finding some goslings. I found goslings, but also some other common birds near a pond.

Very nice - do the gulls go for the goslings - they are a major predator of goslings and ducklings in the UK.

Thank you...the goslings are cute now and will probably remain cute for the next month or so. After that, they become a major nuisance!
