IMHO - I'd crop it more. Too much empty space that takes away from the image.

I like it just the way it is. For me the negative space doesn't take away but draws me in. The empty space reinforces the feeling of starkness of the subject, and isolates it. The slow shutter not only smoothed water and sky, but created just enough motion blur on the birds to give them a surreal dream like effect. Well done.

This. The photo evokes loneliness, and the negative space adds to it. The lack of detail in the negative space furthers the emotion. A+.

I also like the composition as it is. My only suggestion is a higher shutter speed would have stopped the motion of the birds' heads.
