Birds;Pelicans;Dogs OH MY!

Hey guys! I haven't posted in a little while because for the past 2 weeks I've had the flu! Felt better today so decided to take some shots! These were all taken with my Nikon D5100 with my 55-300mm lens. I'm still a newbie, so I'd LOVE C&C.
#1 is my personal favorite. #2 isn't, but I made it black and white and I think it looks better that way. The Pelican was literally right above my head, and this was all I was able to get before he flew off. #3 is a tight photo, but I kinda like it like that. Lastly, in #5, I don't like that there is a pole in the background, but I couldn't help that.
I appreciate everyones comments, good or bad. Thank you!
