Using a white pasteboard behind the fern to separate it from the rest of the garden, I also tried a black pasteboard to see the results.

Though it look s like a negative and positive, it is just the way the digital camera's algorithm set the exposer. Certainly unique, but I like both of them.

Those are two really interesting shots, especially the second one which does look like it has been inverted.
