Nice shot of an interesting bird!

Jeff15 · Feb 6, 2023

These birds are normally black all over, I had never seen one like this before..

MitchP · Feb 6, 2023

Nice capture!

PJM · Feb 7, 2023

Very nice capture. Is it actually called a blackbird?

Jeff15 · Feb 7, 2023

Yes, it is the name of the bird...

Photo Lady · Feb 8, 2023

wow nice bird and great photo

Space Face · Feb 8, 2023

It's a partially leucistic blackbird. Not that uncommon and affects many species of birds.

Jeff15 · Feb 8, 2023

I must have led a very sheltered life... :boggled:

Space Face · Feb 8, 2023

Evidently.

We've had one in/around our driveway that was about 50% white. I've seen him several times, though of course he always disappears before I can grab a camera (even with a totally inappropriate lens).
Congratulations on getting a shot of your example @Jeff15 and not only that you got him looking towards you!
