Last week, Didcot Power Station was invaded by Greenpeace protestors who want the coal fired station to be closed down because of the CO2 emissions.

They did a spot of graffiti whilst they were there....

This is half of the power station, there are another three cooling towers on the other side of the site

my question is how did they get up there to paint it??

Great shots. #3 for me. The blue of the sky makes a perfect backdrop.

There are steps inside - apparently about 2000 of them - which get you to the top, then they abseiled down the outside, they must have been fit to be able to carry all the gear and paint all the way up there!

Is there an apostrophe missing?

Heh, I'll give them a call and ask them to come back and do it proper

You should do so, Tony! Yes, I miss that apostrophe there sorely! Protest doesn't work just as well when the orthography isn't right.
(Though I prefer missed-out apostrophies to the one-too-many kind such as "Protestor's graffitied stack" - shiver!).

well if nothing else it makes Didcot look a little but better

Can't make it look any worse can it!

I mean if they get rid of the power station what will Didcot have left??

thinking about it, what does Didicot have to offer? Guess they could merge Reading's, Oxford's and Swindon's Speedway teams and call them the Didcot Donkeys
