Blonde hair in sunlight

My daughter has superblonde hair and it easily get overexposed when hit by sunlight. Any suggestions on how to avoid that, without losing color and contrast of the surroundings?

I don't think it is the hair color as much as the surroundings ....the leaves in front of her face and not having her body stand out makes the shot way too busy and confusing. Find a nice setting and work with her.

Thanks for that advice, but I was actually going for the busy feel. I have a few other photos from the same sessions (where you can actually see her face!), but this one stood out most in the contrast-perspective and that's why I picked it as an example of the problem...

Reflector fill light or fill-flash could bring the shadows "up", closer to the exposure for her blonde hair in sunlight...you need to bring the exposure value needed for the shaded parts "up", closer to the highlight value exposure value. That will prevent burn-out, by making the overall lighting ratio of the scene lower.
