Blossoming Cherry

A few shots from the first stages of budding on the blossoming cherry.

My plan is to capture the entire flowering cycle: bud - blossom - deterioration. It happens very quickly, in about ten days. I would like to end up with 7 -10 images playing out the whole cycle.

I like how three is composed (though some may feel differently about the "dead" space). I can't tell if it's my contacts or not, but it seems like the flowers are OOF, and the branch is in IF.

Hey, thanks! Appreciate it. Yes, the flower buds in #3 are out of focus. I did not do it on purpose, either (wind). I was thinking of using dead space to help show the progression, like the frame will fill out as the tree itself fills out. Maybe a semi-busy and cramped image when it peaks, then gradually falling off again to the end. At least that was what I sort of had in mind for the series.
