The highlights look to be a bit blown out...could be my monitor though. Nice image.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "blown out"? Please explain?

There was some post-processing work done here, mostly because this picture was taken at high noon and it was very bright outside. Perhaps I went a bit too far with my editing?

The top of the body is pretty much all white. With the image being taken at high noon, I think you did pretty well, considering the lighting.

I agree, it's a great shot. Too bad about the lighting. Blown out basically means that there is no definition in the highlights (the top of the bird).

Here is the image after some additional tweaking. The colors aren't as saturated here, and I was able to bring out a little more detail in the head and top of the wing, but not much.
