Hey this is my first post on the forum, but am a long time reader. I just recently bought a Canon digital rebel xt. This shot was taken with the 75-300mm lens (not sure anyone likes this lens? got it for $100 with the rebel kit). So here is one of my first shots after reading quite a bit on shooting manual. Shot RAW and processed using digital professional. Had to resize for photobucket to 800x600. Let me know if I'm on the right track. Do my colours look too blown out? I was kind of going for the rich look.

does look a bit to blown out. the red is a good red but its to bright, bring down the brightness a lil and up the contrast a bit. should help. keep on rocking the camera though man

Are my photos really that bad to critique? Is it too boring? I'll get some more interesting subjects for the next thread. thanks guys
