Bohemian Waxwing

[runnah]

Best kind of birds are the ones that come to you. Flock of a bout 30 or so of these things found themselves on my two crab apple trees right outside my front door.

Excellent set!

Beautiful birds and great photos !!

I had all my half-dead trees removed last year. I'm replacing them with all fruit trees.

I also grew a large patch of flowers that hummingbirds like and last year a few showed up right in front of me so that is working (I was amazed, I didn't think any were around but the flowers were pretty anyways).

Now I just need to figure out how to attract eagles to within lens range of my porch and I will be all set.

Yeah, I wonder if they can come up and feed from your hand like squirrels do .. without taking off your hand ?

I was thinking of a RC car with a squirrel pelt on it.

You should plant a few elderberries, they are easy to grow and birds love them! I used to have a water garden (I am building a new one this summer) with a shallow area of moving water, and there were always lots of birds there.

Excellent set! Maybe a nice big bucket of fish for the eagles.
