6. And 7. I love it. I'm not trying to criticize but I would love to see the T-shirt text in 6.

There is lots of empty space around most of these that diffuses any impact they might have.

I have seen some of your other work and have been impressed.

For this set; 5,6,&7 look awkward to me. For #5, its the way you shot it. It looks like they are standing. Should have been horizontal and landscape orientation.

For 6 &7, move the subject away from the wall more. The way they are, it looks like snapshots. Pull them away, get less DOF with the background and they will look nicer. Also, look at big brother's hand, covering part of little brother's eye.... watch out for that, and the baby's expression. You can get super cute baby lips by using a gloved finger or a bink, swirl around a little and remove from mouth...voila! Perfectly pursed baby lips. Also, rub the baby's face to get him to relax, it makes for better shots. Newborns are hard and require LOTS of time. Add in a sibling and its bound to be a long shoot with lots of "out-takes".

#3 and #8 are the best of the set. #8 could use some color correction on the skin, just a little too red. I would brighten all of them by 1/3 to 1/2 stop. The hardwood floor is nice, but vinyl floordrops that look like wood are better, you don't get reflection with that.

Thank you Amanda for the detailed critique. Unfortunately space didn't allow for extra space on the floor shots :/ big brother was really difficult for us too. Mom had to step in a million times because he wasn't holding the baby well at all. He has only just turned 3 but is a big kid. Lol
Really though.. everything mentioned is very helpful!

For #3 and 4 - uncurl those little fingers. If you can. Sometimes I know it just doesn't happen. But my goal is always to get them so asleep I can uncurl the fingers. It makes a big difference in how relaxed the photo and baby look.

The cropping in the first three bug me, it feels really unnatural. The eye catchlight in the first looks really weird too. Still not too bad, though!

I will try to remember that! I always try to uncurl the other hand that I usually try to lay on their like tummy/chest area and he just wasn't having that. lol He was a very light sleeper! I guess I never thought to worry about the hand under the head but that totally makes sense!
