This accomplished assassin was quite happy to devour one of my "chooks" and did hang around for a couple of days looking for another easy meal.

Know that situation well. Woke up one morning to be puzzled by feathers all over the Lawn. Thought we had acquired a newly arrived cat in the neighbourhood only to find in the early afternoon that the culprit was a Sparrow Hawk sat on the fence looking for a second helping.

You've made good use of the situation though. Nice shots.
