I played with this pic and like how it turned out... is it ok or crap?

I think it is nice and soothing and interesting, no so much a photo as a painting. The horizontal is off by a tiny bit, I think.

Graphically pleasing, a nice composition, generally well done. This is a photograph we see minor variations of pretty often, but this is a good example of the form. The figures and the little house out on the end of the pier are excellent, and you've got the right lens and position to render them small but not illegible.

The water surface is downright weird, though. It looks like snow. It's extremely distracting. Is this a long exposure, or multiples, or something?

I like the calmness here, but i would love to see more colour here, but it depends on what you're trying to tell
