I was at a photoshoot with a group of photographers. They were all shooting the scene across the river and i noticed how the pictures in these outings always come out looking very similar. So, I jumped the railing onto that narrow ledge and set my camera on the ground using a mini-tripod (I shoot with a P&S camera) and shot perpendicular to them.
Basically, i like how the street lights starburst effect seem to look like flashguns going off, paparazzi style. But the clincher for me is that tiny bud that i placed in the diagonal of the frame, pointing in the same direction as the cameras. By the way, everyone else was shooting at this and the lesson was in keeping horizons horizontal:
