Hi Rosy,

This is a very cute dog. It looks like you lit it with some off camera flash with a light up high? The exposure is good, however I think dog portraits come out better w/o the collar on them. It's a quick and easy thing to remove to make the photo more about the dog. It may have also helped to minimize what's going on in the background if you removed the pillows too, but that could also be something that would prompt the dog to get up and move (depending on the dog).

trying to perfect the OCF, and yes any sudden movement and Buddy would have made a run for it!

Yes, the collar and it's little red heart draws my eyes immediately. Buddy sure is a cute subject, try again using Tyler's suggestions
