Hello,

A portfolio should be a living thing - it should grow with you. There is no reason why you shouldn't start it now. However, in five years time if you are not embarassed by your current pictures - give up!

No reason not to... no age limits... And you're not to young to start working or at least thinking about working...
And there's nothing wrong with your photos - I believe what Fuddy meant was strive (and expect) to grow better with time...

thanks for all the advice, any reccomendations on what size print shold be for a hard copy? i have lots of spare time suring these holidays :)

For me, creating my initial portfolio was horrible because I had to wittle almost 30,000 photos to 20. If you don't have that many photos, you shouldn't have that hard of a time. Pick 50 that you really like, then wittle it down to 35. After that, bring your photos to an art teach or a photographer and have them help you wittle it down to 20. It will be painful but extremely rewarding in the end.
