Hello,

I am in the process of building a studio for my wife, and I have a question about the type of lights I should install... she obviously knows what types of lights she will be using - her soft boxes, etc., but my question is about the types of general lights I should have in the drop ceiling for the room.

Should I just install standard fluorescent lights, or should I use a combination of fluorescent lights that can be turned off and incandescent lights that could be dimmed?

I know she will be controlling the light with her shutter and the soft boxes, but I can't really find a good source that says I need lots of light to begin with, or I should be able to darken the room.

Any help for a confused husband would really be appreciated !!

Thanks... Shannon

Anything... Make sure they can be turned off/dimmed so that when she takes the photos she only needs to deal with her studio lighting and no ambient sources that may conflict as per color temperature goes...

Thats my opinion.

Okay. So sounds like a combination then. Thanks.
