They are or out of focus, or hand held.
They both have a great composition.
Also a bit noisy. Might sound insane , but if you want decent night results... shoot at ISO 100. Even if it takes a whole minute.
Again, they're nicely composed.

2. too much sky, not enough lights.

Shoots with a tripod at ISO 100, you'll be much more happy.
