Butterfly

Liked this photo... rarely do I get to practice with the Tamron 90mm macro lens.
f/10
iso 200
1/200 sec
1:1 (at minimum lens focusing distance)

and a closer crop:

Nice macro shots. I like the first one because I can tell it is a butterfly without the title. The second one, it could almost be anything.

Anything? I know it is not a lawn mower.

Nice!

Is it @ a hummingbird feeder? Never seen that happen here if it is.

No, just a flower - one that looks somewhat like a feeder now that you mention it.

Thanks for the comments.

Getting the focus right while holding the camera and looking through the viewfinder was.. a challenge. More like a major PITA.

I use a tripod, MF, and live view zoomed in on my subject for those tricky focus shots.

I do too Pink but not for wildlife. That BF would be long gone before you could achieve a set-up.

^ Not only that but some places don't really like when you carry along a tripod.. and I rarely carry it with me when I go places with my daughter (priority of taking photos kinda takes a backseat).

Here's one I took later in the day also with the Tamron 90mm:
