For me, its a very powerful photo. Your eyes are taken to the butterfly so I actualy like that the butterfly isn't in the center, It's almost like the outside world is the subject, not the butterfly. To ad to that, I emidiatly noticed that part of the butterfly's wing is damaged. I think that really ads to potray a feeling of a free and beautful animal that is trapped, captured, and obtained. The black and white does the same, it weakens the beauty a butterfly would show in reality and turns this photo into a peice of art work.
