Buying advice, detachable flash...

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help advise me on a good detachable flash to buy for my girlfriend's birthday. She currently uses a Canon 350D and a Nikon F75, though mainly the Canon. My budget is set around 150 GB pounds or around 250 US dollars.

Any help would be appreciated as I am lost!
