I like this, I think it has potential. You have a really nice gradient of color on the water. But I feel its too dark. If you could increase the exposure or shadows slightly to get some more texture in the really black tree segments, it might help. Worth a try, anyway.

Yea I also found the shadows and the trees were pretty dark, like Heitz said I'd bump the shadows, great looking shot! And its not cold if the pond isn't frozen

A nice boat, dock or bird happening by would greatly improve the shot..as it is, it's a bend in the river.

Nice, but a bit cliched if you don't mind me saying so. In any case, I wish you composed it so it's symmetric...that would emphasize the reflection aspect IMO. Anyway, here's a crop to show what I mean.

Thanks. I really like this edit. The symmetry and centered horizon emphasize the serenity of the image.
