c&c first attempts at studio portraits

was back in the studio tonight and before putting camera away recreated lighting off original 2# 3# but took your advice and played around with light power, aperture and angles. tried to eliminate hot spots...are these any better....

Now that's what I'm talking about. I MUCH prefer this type of lighting to the ones you had above.

You used High Key in your first shot, the brother to that is Low Key. Both of them offer different emotions to a photo. It's worth playing with as you can pull stuff like solitude, texture/curve enhancement, intensity, out of a shot.

problem on some of my photos tonight when more than one subject in frame my focus was out in some parts. whats best way to sort this out in a darkened set. cheers
