The first shot, the horizontal one, I particularly enjoyed. It's as if I'm looking at a place setting at a fancy dinner or in a brochure for a catering hall.

first one being the best .. question is that natural light coming through a 1/2 ope n drape in those pics and no flash? what kind of lens do you use here?

I am just using a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens. Why did I use a telezoom for a table shot... simply because I just already had it mounted on the camera from when I was taking something else before hand. Sometimes it is easier to stand back and take close ups than to put on my kit 18-55mm lens and get really close.

I did use natural light and no flash. I rarely use the flash because I don't like the way it looks plus I don't know much about how do use the flash to my advantage and make a picture look good. I only use it to take pictures of people and friends in a dark place.
