C&C Help with composition and cropping

I would appreciate your comments, criticism and suggestions. These were taken using a kit zoom on Canon 60D. Please also suggest a lens for such macro pictures. Each file should have the exif data.

The resolution is a little too soft for that much of a crop. jmho
