What's new

C&C on my favorite models pleaseee

Are you trying to take really good pictures or are you just showing off a Cool bird and funny dog?

the look hes giving you in the first dog picture is awesome.

Agreed, first thing I noticed was the look, priceless!!

haha sorry had to lol....now my advice would be to try and find less distracting backgrounds and also in the first dog pic everything seems to be tilted to right that is not usually a pleasing effect
also try throwing your backgrounds out of focus using shallow DOF (depth of field) or making the distance between your subject and background larger etc etc
also focusing on eyes produces the best results in most cases
apart from that have fun :)

^ Agree with the above,

Also watch your crops, he is missing his legs! Get closer, on his level.Treats work wonders for getting them to stay still for more than 5 seconds:mrgreen:

backgrounds, backgrounds, backgrounds...

thanks guys... these are just the first couple pics i took with a new camera. These are with the package lens. Was just really testing out how to use the camera really. Thanks guys

I really don't like dogs, but some of that dogs face expressions are awesome.

I agree your Dog is an incredible subject he has that showdagship need for amazing pics... I love dog models...

but I do hav to agree with the others... your backgrounds are wayyyy to focused and the everyday scene in the backgrounds.

Open your lens to the maximum, get on the ground and shoot away.

Keep it up

As for your comment Jeatley you might wanna help new posters.... isn't that why we post here.... but I guess you are well beyond that...

NEVER

USE

POP

UP

FLASH.

NEVER.

Bad advice, use whatever you have at your disposal to get the shot, pop up flash is better than not getting the shot at all. Not every shot is going to be for the wall, most are for personal memories. If pop up flash is all you have and the situation calls for it, use it, with time you will find there are better ways, but get the shot to being with. :)

That expression still cracks me up, lol.

thanks alot guys. again these where the first few shots with a new camera. i think i had the camera on auto mode for most of these shots ne ways. again thanks for your help guys

Stay away from Auto mode. Learn proper exposure, understand its concepts and use Shutter priority or Aperture priority before going full manual.
