I am struggling with the red or the saturation....

Not bad; the exposure is good, and the pose is very football (That's the one with the brown, pointy ball, right?) like, however the setting really makes me go what??? I'd expect to see him on an athletic field rather than what looks to be a park or back-yard. Watch the small details; his left hand looks like it's poking through his trouser-leg, and his right is masked by the helmet. I think you might have been better to be slightly off to your right; not a lot, but just enough to get a better view of him.

The placement of his hands is so obviously bad.... now I see it. Now it is bothering me... why didn't I notice that? And perfect advice about the background/location. I like your 2 cents.... thank you.

I'm not real fond of the pose, I think if you not going to feature him on a field of play, then maybe just have him take knee holding his helmet or a ball. I know it's kind of a classic pose but hey it's football after all, lol, him on a field of play running and maybe half turning or some sort of action shot would really be awesome. Good luck to you, he is a handsome young man.
