Ah, yes. The third picture does look the best of the 3 in my opinion.

You guys just can't get rid of the stuff in the background and make it the dark/black color... I just learned photoshop about a week or so ago and even I know that. I also changed tone of your image and adjusted the contrast as well. I sharpened the image a bit too. Let me know what you think. Again I haven't been doing this long, but I feel that I've come a long way for how long I've been doing this.

What was your method, if you don't mind me asking?

for what? getting rid of the white thing? Oh by the way I got rid of the spikey ball on the right side it was bothering me too... For the white thing I used the clone tool and just figured out what I thought it should look like behind that white thing. And for all the other adjustments I just did them in aperture by adjusting white balance, vibrancy, black point, definition, and contrast.

This time I cleaned some more stuff up and I used the burn tool to sharpen all the edges of all the thorns... I think it looks MUCH better now.
