Hello,
I am an ebay seller, I purchased a somewhat inexpensive light kit a while back.. I recently knocked over my light stand... my bulb exploaded..

Is there a good bulb I can find at a lowes or home depot that would work good for photography?
I tryed a standard GE Soft white bulb.. There is nothing white about it.. It is an ugly yellow/orange inside of my photo tent..
I have one bulb... I have listed a few things by just pointing the yucky bulb upwards..

Here is one of my auctions if you are interested in seeing how my pictures are coming out.. I am not a skilled photographer.. I need to learn lighting setting on my camera... I have a hard time with darker items.

Anyways.. looking for some bulb suggestions.
THanks,
Joe

As long as you have a way to correct the white balance (there are many ways to do this), any bulb could work.

You're probably not going to find an actual photo bulb anywhere but a photography shop, or on-line.

The main differences will be color accuracy and consistency (of the light).

Depending on what software you're using, fixing the WB can be as easy as a few clicks of the mouse.

You can also do it in camera. Read up on custom white balance.
