Can someone lend me a Photoshop hand?

Hi guys,

I'm planing on framing this pic and sending it to my mom. (No, I'm not either of those kids.) Unfortunately, my editing abilities are non-existent. Can any of you make this shot look worth a frame (plus a FedEx overseas)?

(If the good Samaritan could also make those little dark spots between my mom's front teeth disappear, maybe I'll be able to convince her to cook for you...)

PS: If you guys think the resolution is not good enough, let me know and I'll post a bigger version (I really didn't want to mess up the margins here.)
