I kind of love this one, but the wire and specially the halo around it is proving to be a bit too difficult for me to remove. Any suggestions??
Here's a link to the full size if anyone wants to give it a go..

Yeah, that's a tough one. I advocate using copy and paste (lasso tool to select, feather about 5 pixels) to cover the part not over the flower - it will blend pretty well with the other background areas if you choose what to copy carefully. As for the flower, that will take some painstaking cloning. Make sure you put all of the cloned pixels on another layer (maybe more than one) so you can backtrack.

shouldn't be too hard.

If you have PhotoShop, use Content Aware and probably the Patch tool. I am new to using these tools, but I think it can be easily achieved with a bit of time working the edges.

I actually used precisely these controls and the results weren't very pleasing. Content aware is something I use quite often, but the halo makes it look pretty bad. :(

hmm.. sounds like it'll be a tough job, but I have to learn some day. It's about time I started taking interest in PS, mostly I just end up using it for noise reduction and content aware..I'll give this a go!

I am hardly an expert, and I dont have time to try and edit the whole thing, but I did take a quick 5 minuets to see if this method might help you. I saw a tutorial once where the showed how to fix this kind of thing. You add a new blank layer and change it to color for the blending mode, and then you paint back in the appropriate color. Since it seems like you only have a color shift from the wire, I thought this might be easier than cloning. Here is a small bit I tried on the flower, just the upper left part, again I am short on time. If you had time to blend in a few more hues I am sure you could get it to look more natural.

Thanks Jazzie, definitely an idea worth pursuing. :) I'll give this a go..

And thanks everyone for taking the time to edit the pic, I really appreciate it. Love the version given by @Buckster, but the version posted by @bianni is perfect; mind telling me what workflow you followed?

Just FYI, this is the best I could achieve (I know it sucks :345:).. I'll give it a fresh go over the weekend.. Thanks everyone :)
