Canon EF-M 18-150

Well after many years my better half has finally accepted the idea of trying out a new lens on her much loved and much traveled M100.

All this time she has stuck to her favourite compact 22mm f2 EF-M lens and refused any idea of changing based mainly on size, handbag portability and sharpness.

So I got her a compact 18-150mm EF-M (did not want an adapter to add bulk) and think it’s safe to say that it has been accepted

I know the M100 is an old system but IMO punches well above its weight still. The 22mm lens is pin sharp and I was worried the new zoom would be disappointing in comparison.
However, it’s really quite good right across 18 up to 150 albeit with a darker aperture. Also brings in lens IS (no IS on the M100 which is its biggest weakness IMO along with no option for an EVF) and even does macro too.

If anyone is using this system still I would certainly recommend.

The extra size does not seem to have affected portability either, still goes everywhere, the bag is just a bit bigger!
