If he drove in Montreal in the past five years or so, he'd be joining the guys in the funny house. The saying "you can't get there from here" is the standard by which we live. And just as we start figuring out the labyrinth, they switch it on us. Sometimes the road department does a fake - putting up orange cones giving you the hope that they actually lead somewhere.... and then you find out they are able to do a Moebius strip configuration WITHOUT inverting. Then we have the phenomenon of traffic flow "taming" by merging five or more lanes into one, and then detouring the resulting stream in a different direction. One of these days, we'll find out that the whole road rebuilding exercise was a CIA mind experiment gone rogue.
