Canon D7 Purchase in Calgary

Hello,
I am looking at my first DSLR purchase. Being that it is is getting close to boxing day and I am not in a huge hurry, can anyone give me a feel for whether or not this camera body or with a kit lens would typically go on sale boxing day or week at any of the camera shops in Calgary?? I see from a google search, last year the body was on sale for $200 off at a certain vis-store in town, but the body alone is selling for a lot less than that now (1 yr older now). Being that it is older and there is not that premium on a new camera, what do people think about seeing any savings this year during boxing day-week?

Best Buy, Future Shop always have sales on Boxing Day. Always. Most big chains do. Now I prefer to buy my camera stuff from the Camera Store. You could always stop in and see if they know about any upcoming boxweek specials.

I believe that The Camera Store will price match, so if you do see it on-sale at Best Buy etc., you might get them to price match, that way you get the good price and the good store.

McBain, here in Edmonton (and Reddeer I think) will also price match, and last I checked, they had free shipping for orders over $1000.
