I just got this lens yesterday. My first impression out of the box is that it was very slim! Thinner than my 24-70mm F2.8L (but then it's a zoom lens so it's kinda "Duh of course a Prime is gonna be thinner than a zoom!"). All the reviews talk about how awesomely sharp it is but it has me wondering whether the awesome Bokeh factor makes it seem more so (just like the 135mm).

Anyway This is my second L lens and I'm totally stoked!

Nice!
I have a 24-70 2.8 as well, but I am not sure that I like it anymore than my 24-105.
As a wedding photographer I have to justify a more open aperture against the loss of zoom.

i've heard alot of good things about the 200mm f/2.8, and that it's generally better than the Nikon 180mm f/2.8 (which is an awesome lens too)

Congratulations! The 200/2.8's nickname is the "prime pipe". I'm surprised it is not more popular, given how compact and light and affordable it is compared with so many zooms.

I'm actually thinking about getting this one to make up for the smaller aperture of my 70-200mm f/4..

or maybe a 24-70 f/2.8 or 24-105 f/4 (I only have the old 28-105mm that came with my 10D)

What do you guys think?

With the lens you have now, 200mm IMO would be a better investment.
