Cool! thanks for posting. Just curious, I know there's a 300 dollar rebate that you can get if you buy a 50D or a 40D I think as well with a MP980 printer...the printer is 275 to begin with so it's like getting that for free... are these rebates on top of that? Where can you get the print out? Thank you!

These are Canon semi-annual instant rebates, You don't have to send anything in to anyone, its taken off automatically at the checkout, online or in person.

yep. I bought the 580EXII flash and the 70-200F2.8L IS this month with live cashback at 14%. If that could have paired with these rebates, boy oh boy...

So do you need to buy direct from Canon to get the rebate? Or could you from sites such as Amazon or eBay?

If you buy from a authorized reseller, you will see the price drop already. i.e. B&H or Adorama
