Canon Pro 100 problem

Soooo. After having my Pro 100 for about 2 and a half years, maybe 3. I think the print head has finally went bad in it. It started when I was printing some team photos. Typically 4x6, some 5x7 and occasionally a 8x10.

I started getting lines in my photos. Okay, no problem. Maybe I was running low on ink. Double checked all my ink, good to go. Not a problem, maybe it needs cleaned.

So I ran a Utility cleaning, still had lines. I then ran a "Deep clean", still had lines. I then ran a test print, that prints all the colors. Noticed it was the photo magenta that was giving me problems. So I replaced the PM, still had lines.

Hmmmmm....

Took out the print head, ran it through a physical cleaning. Still had lines. Okay, now I'm getting irritated. Call up Canon. Waited about 15 minutes for someone to get me off hold.

Its not covered under warranty, as its 2-3 years old. Okay fine. How much is a new one? $240 Seriously????? I can buy a brand new one from BH for 250 after a rebate.

Soooooo, now I have a printer thats pretty much useless unless I want to spend as much as it is to buy a brand new one.

Agh the frustration.
