I am a very beginner photographer, with just a Sony Cybershot right now, but I found this on CL and thought it might be cool to get. It has manual focus, but automatic shutter, but might be cool to learn focus on. It's $35...what does everyone think?

If it functions, that is a decent, fair price for that camera body and that lens. At this current age, some T50's are experiencing problems...one of my Dad's buddies had a Canon T50 back in the early to mid-1980's...he put his thumb through the shutter curtains a time or two!! It's very possible that the camera is 25 years old now, but almost like new. Or, it could be thrashed on...but $35 is a fair price if the shutter works and the body's seals are light-tight.

I'd buy a T90/50 1.8 for $35!!

awesome!

if anything, you could put that 50mm on a m4/3rds camera if you wanted to go digital with it.
