Canon versus Sigma

Does anyone know if the DG EX range of Sigma lenses is only compatible with digital bodies or can they be used for digital and film?

Any lens with a Canon EF mount is compatible with film or digital, the only difference being, some lenses designed for digital don't live up to the same exacting standards, because on a aps-c sized digital sensor, you don't see the entire image frame.

I recently bought a Sigma 70-200 2.8 EX lens and the thing is AWESOME! but a little heavy. If you want to price them be sure to check out sigma4less.com. They had the best price I could find.

I have been using the Sigma 100-300 EX for some time now with great success! Its built very well and focus is fast and quiet.

I use Nikon however so can't compare the Sigma with a Canon, sorry
