I have been doing film for so long, 5 yrs (love the darkroom). I am planning to buy my first DSLR. I am a student so my pockets are not packed :lol:

I am planning on selling my N80 but i realized I had this lens with it.

Will this work if I just get the Canon XTI body and stick this lens on it? Is this a good combo? Will the lens autofocus?

:hug::

Hi lost, the short answer is no.

If you are comfortable with the N80, why don't you look into a used D70/D100 or a D50 (this one uses SD cards the other two use CF cards -as do the upper range bodies)? I bring this up in case money is an issue and if you are worried about a $120 lens (which will work on any of these) then I'm guessing that it is. The D70 will better use older AI lenses also so there is a source of savings as well.

thanks that helped. I liked this lens and wanted to use it. Guess I should sell that one.
