Can't get large pics to post in forums! HELP :/

HELLO! I read a post on how to post pics in forums and it says to copy and paste the thumbnail link into the forum box, but when I do, my pics show up thumbnail size. What am I doing wrong? I do not have a Flickr or Photobucket account which I saw was another way to post pics. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

Flickr will give you an option of small medium or large depending on the size you upload. No point uploading over 1024 x as that is the largest size they embed.
