Ah. I've been there Loong time ago. The "stone" it was built from is compressed sea shells, isn't it? Somewhere in my collection of colour slides there should be a close-up of one of the walls.

I've never seen it at night, though, so no photos of the illuminated fort in my collection (I think at night we were out in St Augustine, having among the worst Italian Food we ever had... ). This is nice. The light sure adds drama to the entire scene.

Thank you....The wall are called "Coquina" not sure if that's correct spelling...yes made from coral & sea shells...they said that saved the fort from bad damage because the coquina absorbed the impact....You are not the first one to tell me they had crappy Italian food in St Augustine....musta been really bad!

Wonderful place....The beaches are AWESOME and the waves are real good for surfers.
