Casual volleyball

C&C very welcome!
Was at a confirmation party (for those outside Scandinavia, it's a big expensive wedding-style ceremony where 13-15 year olds are celebrated and given massive gifts for confirming their belief in God), and we played volleyball at one point, so I tried to minimize the shutter speed and get some shots, of course!

There are a lot of shadows on your subjects, especially the first two. Make sure to position yourself in a place where the light will hit the subjects face otherwise they are lost in the shadows.

Also, watch the background- its taking away from the shots. For example, the last shot looks the best to me because you can only see some of that black structure. Again- like the first shot, if you moved over to the right, you could have got those distant trees maybe (but then you'd have a full shadow over the face so you'd have to take wise position). Or if you got down on one knee, it could have added an interesting viewpoint and gotten the trees as well. Just throwing ideas out there- but in all just make sure the background isnt attracting alot of attention, cause your subject is the volleyball player
