I agree with Fred that it's a little flat, although there appear to be true blacks and highlights that are near white. If you can mess with Curves to increase contrast in the mid-tones that would help. Alternatively, you could go back and retry the B&W conversion (assuming this isn't a B&W film image). Wood usually has enough color contrast to allow a high-contrast conversion.
