It looks to me shes just had a look at the name on the stone to find its someone she knows, but did not know was dead

When I looked at this my first thought was that the subject should be half way between the two shorter headstones. This will give more balance to the composition and add depth to the image. (I would keep the focus on her of course.) I also think it would be better to find a arrangement without the taller headstone, it throws things out of balance and confuses the viewer.
